Camila’s Quinceañera Portraits at the Texas State Capitol

I recently had the honor of photographing Camila’s quinceañera portraits in downtown Austin at the Texas State Capitol. It’s one of those places that instantly elevates a shoot. The mix of elegance, history, and golden evening light gave us the perfect backdrop.

Camila looked incredible in her red quince dress. The color popped against the Capitol’s stone architecture, and from her crown to the flow of her gown, every detail felt powerful and timeless.

One of my favorite moments was photographing her on the grand staircases. The steps framed her dress in such a natural way, making the images feel almost regal. Inside, the polished stone, arches, and light coming through the windows turned the space into something cinematic.

The Texas State Capitol is easily one of my favorite portrait locations. It has this unique mix of being both majestic and intimate. For a session like Camila’s, it really helped tell her story.

This shoot also shows a lot of what I love about photography. I enjoy working with natural light and dramatic backdrops to bring out a person’s personality and confidence. For Camila, the goal was simple: highlight her joy and mark this milestone with portraits that feel as big as the moment itself.

For me, photographing a quinceañera isn’t just about capturing a dress or a party. It’s about celebrating a milestone in a way that feels personal, powerful, and unforgettable.
